So, today is Gwendolyn's 4th birthday. We have a ton of birthday traditions-- there's the super-sparkly rhinestone birthday tiara, the procurement of the Birthday Balloon, the birthday dress fit for a birthday princess, and dinner at a fancy restaurant. (Tonight: The Melting Pot. Because the only two ways to ensure Gwendolyn will eat anything is for it to be dippable, or for it to be cheese.)
I spent about a month putting together the video here in iMovie. She's watched it twice so far today, and it keeps her attention, which is nearly impossible. So, for those of you who I haven't forced to drown in Gwendapictures for the last four years:
I present to you.. Miss Gwendalicious.

The book I've not been able to shut up about, The Book of One by my good buddy Jesse Michael Renaud, is finally released to the public today. There were a couple great weeks of signed pre-order goodness, but today is the day that Jesse launches the book out into a sea of people who aren't already familiar with his work. I'm hugely proud of him, and grateful that I was able to be a part of the behind-the-scenes mayhem. :D
As a little congratulatory somethin', I put together the trailer to the left for Jesse. I'm not entirely happy with the walking animation in the second half, but considering that I did the animation myself-- including the transitions, except between black screens-- frame by individual frame, I'm pretty freaking pleased with myself.
Anyway, go check out Jesse's work, and if the trailer intrigues you, buy a copy of the book. I'm sure there's more than one closet comic enthusiast in my neighborhood.. ;)
